As anyone who has ever moved a piano will know, it can be a nerve wracking experience. Pianos are extremely heavy and awkward to move, especially up and down stairs. They also have many delicate parts and are of course very valuable. While the comic scene of removal men dropping a piano may be funny on the movie screen it is more like a horror movie in real life.

However here at The Piano Shop Bath we have no fears – as we have been safely moving pianos around Bristol for many years and have a wealth of experience transporting them in the trickiest circumstances. We have been privileged to work in venues as prestigious as The Bristol Beacon (formerly Colston Hall) and St. Georges Hall moving pianos for events all around the city.

We also worked on Luke Jerram’s Street Piano Project in 2017 which required many pianos to be moved and installed around Bristol forming part of a music and art trail.

We also removed and recycled these pianos once the event was over. Recycling a piano is an intricate process requiring a high level of expertise – at The Piano Shop Bath we are able to recycle 95% of material within a piano.

If you live in Bristol and need a piano moving, or recycling, please send us an enquiry and we will be delighted to help.
