Piano moving – Bristol

As anyone who has ever moved a piano will know, it can be a nerve wracking experience. Pianos are extremely heavy and awkward to move, especially up and down stairs. They also have many delicate parts and are of course very valuable. While the comic scene of removal men dropping a piano may be funny…

Really great service - it was such an exciting moment to see our Yamaha U3 coming up the front steps. We felt absolutely in safe hands with the pianoremovalcompany. They navigated the twists in out hallway with confidence and our Piano has been perfectly located.

A very difficult job executed with sheer determination. "The boys" did an amazing job moving my baby grand from the first floor to the second floor. Due to the complexity of my old house it took 4 attempts to achieve the result, including cutting a hole in the ceiling, but they didn't give up. Thank you so much.

The Piano Removal Company delivered the piano that I bought from the Piano Shop Bath. I was very pleased with the professional service and the movers were very efficient and polite, but most importantly they handled my new piano with a lot of care. I would recommend them to anyone.

Jon arranged for one of their specialist technicians to visit me to investigate my baby grand which was feeling a bit inconsistent and stiff to play.Marc was fantastic and carried out regulation, dampener adjustments, tuning and toning. The piano now feels amazing to play. The action is smooth and light and it now really sings.Excellent work and service. Thanks guys.

Wonderful service from The Piano Shop Bath. Beautiful shop and a few months after visiting a relative and I each put an order in for a piano. Seamless delivery and great help with finance options and we're both delighted with our Kawai K15 pianos. Would absolutely use again, great team and excellent selection of pianos and accessories. Thank you!

Fantastic well stocked show room with knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly helpful staff. My wife and I went in on Saturday morning to get a feel for the sort of piano we would get as our daughter is learning and my wife wanted to start up again. We couldn’t have had a better experience, the attendant (who had studied classical music) showed us around the whole shop and talked frankly and with great depth of knowledge on all types of pianos (including digital- as we have limited space). We left not purchasing anything yet but will definitely be back once we have narrowed our search down further.

We bought our upright a couple of months ago, and we've been really impressed with the service. The store in Bath is wonderful, everyone we have spoken with has been so helpful. Also, the follow up 'first tune' was great too. Highly recommended.

WE are from the States. USA and are like you to give us advise about a Rippen upright piano. The piano was made in Europe and is no longer being made after 1988

The Piano Shop Bath did a great job moving and storing my grand piano. I was dreading having to store it, but they made the whole process very easy, and the team explained they've professionally stored many other pianos. Seeing them work so smoothly means I have already recommended them to others. And I look forward to having them move the piano again, once we decide where to buy our next house in due course. Many thanks indeed!

A very positive experience visiting the shop in Bath with my son. We arrived around 10 on Saturday and were left to explore, and for him to play a number of pianos. Staff were attentive when asked, but left us to it otherwise. We chose a piano after after a relaxed and enjoyable hour in the multiple, well laid out rooms and it has now been delivered on time the following week. Highly recommended.

Wide range of pianos, including electric, which is what we were looking for. Helpful staff, although not terribly knowledgeable. She was willing and able to go and find the extra information, but you may have to ask for the owner to get a real expert view. Great to browse.

After visiting various music shops in London and not finding the grand piano I wanted, I made the trip by train to explore the piano shop in Bath. The large showroom is impressive. The sales staff were really helpful without being pushy. I even got a tour of their workshop where they restore and service pianos. I opted for a lovingly restored Bluthner, which I am absolutely delighted with. A big thank you to the team for a wonderful experience.

We had been looking for a specific grand piano for several months in the US. Local piano shops were expensive, did not carry the exact piano for which we were looking, and did not seem to want to listen to what we desired. Then, we came across The Piano Shop Bath which happened to have the exact piano for which we had been searching. We contacted Jon Kelly of the Piano Shop with a little hesitation: 1. attempting to buy a piano sight unseen, 2. the cost of shipping a largeinstrument from England to the US. However, before we made our decision, Jon listened carefully to what we wanted, answered all of our questions, and provided us with numerous pictures, videos and even sound clips (from Diana, a Piano Shop Pianist). He contacted a world renowned fine arts shipper and got price quotes for air and sea so we would know the complete cost (no hidden fees). After doing some more research, we decided to purchase the piano and ship by sea.About 9 weeks after the purchase, the piano was delivered and installed into our home in pristine condition. Prior to shipment, Jonhad brought to our attention several blemishes on the case, which had been expertly fixed by the Piano Shop prior to shipment; we cannot detect those spots even upon close inspection. We had watched online videos of brand new pianos being uncrated from other dealers and felt that the crating/packing of our instrument was even more substantial and protective. Our piano came in under our budget (and much lower than what we would have paid from a local dealer) and we loved working with Jon and all the people at the Piano Shop.Plus, we have a better story to tell than just going to a local shop and buying a piano!

The piano shop, moved a baby grand for me, price was very competitive. They turned up on time after phoning me 30 minutes before as arranged. Took great care in dismantling and packing the piano , moving it to its new home and re assembling it. A brilliant service. Thank you
After spending much time researching pianos and visiting various showrooms we purchased one from the Piano Shop Bath. Their staff are very polite and we felt relaxed when trying the various pianos, without being bothered by sales people listening to every note you play. We had demonstrations on a few pianos, and then left in peace to play them ourselves. The showroom is very well laid out, plenty of space to view and play the pianos. The personal service we received at the shop and via email convinced us that they would look after our piano for years to come. Also the quality of their pianos appeared to be higher than the other shops we visited, it was actually quite tricky to pick one out as we couldn't find fault in any of the pianos we were interested in.Delivery was only a few days after we purchased the piano, which went really well. Our property wasn't the easiest to get a piano in, but the delivery men managed it well.We are very pleased with the piano and the service we received, and are more than happy to recommend the Piano Shop Bath.

We just bought a Yamaha baby grand from the Piano Shop Bath and received a really first class service from beginning to end. All the guys in the shop were incredibly helpful and, importantly for us, very patient. We made several visits and, each time, they made a real effort to talk us through the pianos on offer and play them for us as a demonstration. Added to this, we had really useful follow-up emails from the owner, Jon, which were never intrusive or hard-sell... just genuinely helpful. Having decided on a baby grand, we explained that access to our home may be difficult and so Jon arranged for the piano movers to come out and do a 'recce' of our place. It took four men over an hour of back-breaking work to get the piano into our place - but they did it. And they were incredibly good humoured throughout, despite it being an extremely difficult job. We were seriously impressed. I can't praise the shop enough - it's a great place to browse, with some lovely instruments on display. Thanks to all the team. Simon

Buying your first piano should be a wonderful experience; in fact buying any piano should be a real joy. I found The Piano Shop in Bath and am so pleased that I did because they couldn't have been more helpful. I would highly recommend them for all your piano needs, and can honestly say that buying my first piano was a really good experience, they were without exception friendly, knowledgeable and they couldn't have been more patient or helpful. I absolutely love my piano and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, the piano was delivered really quickly and the delivery guys were great. They have a wonderful choice of pianos in the shop and I think you are sure to find one that suits.A proper five star service, really rare in this day and age so thank you.
