When a piano reaches the end of its life, it needs to be responsibly disposed of and properly recycled and this really is a specialist job. We recycle pianos regularly, and we do so by removing them from your residence and first taking them to our piano workshop where anything useful can be stripped away and used to restore other pianos. We then dismantle the piano safely; a strung piano frame holds potentially tonnes of pressure and serious injury can result if care is not taken before recyclable parts are sent to be recycled and the remainder disposed of.
