Cheltenham Choral Society Performs at Bath Abbey

The Cheltenham Choral Society will be performing an evocative program of music at Bath Abbey during a lunchtime recital on Saturday 23rd May.

The performance will include a range of music from Mozart, Bach, Holst, Haydn and Tallis in the beautiful setting of the historic Bath Abbey.

For more than 75 years, the Cheltenham Choral Society have been performing. President of the society is Cheltenham-born Dame Felicity Lott who has also made rare appearances with the choral society, notably performing Handel’s Messiah in 2013.

The mixed-ability choir has developed a strong reputation for a quality experience for both singers and audience. Last November the choir performed Haydn’s Creation oratorio from 1790, and in April they tackled Mozart’s famous Requiem.

The Bath Abbey concert has free entry and starts at 1:05pm, lasting just under an hour.
